The difference? Hehe okay so if your a huge fan of sims 3, just like me, then you will want to get the collectors addition. The collectors addition comes with the sims 3, the prima guide (the whole guide of the game and its originally 13$), European sports car (Haha on the game!), and the 2GB green diamond thing, haha I forgot what it's called, but you can put it into the usb on your computer and put files on it and it has the files on the green thing so you can just put it on other computers! I hope I really helped you out! GO SIMS 3!
The guide that the collector's edition comes with isn't the full Prima Game Guide. It's an extra guide of hints and tips.

What is the Difference from Sims 3 and Sims 3 Collectors Edition?Yep. A small pamphlet is really all the "guide" is. Was somewhat disappointed in it. Misleading advertising at it's best. The USB drive (green diamond thing) has a slight problem that the 'diamond' doesn't stay on. Can't use it as a keychain at all. Still cool though.

In the sims 3 collectors edition, it comes with a jump drive that is in the shape of a plumb bob (the thing that always hovers above your sims head), the ring tone of the new sims 3 theme song, exclusive sports car download, prima hints and tips guide (keep in mind that this is not the actual full guide), and $10 of sim points to be spent at the sim store. And of course the game. You also get the sim points while buying the normal sims 3. a big difference is always the price, the collectors edition is $69.95, while the sims 3 is $49.95.What is the Difference from Sims 3 and Sims 3 Collectors Edition?
Only grab the collector's edition if you are a fan of the Sims. It's got stuff like videos on how they made the game and stuff. Nothing extra is in the game, however, so if you really don't care then just buy Sims 3.
