How do I get Sims 2 to run faster on my computer?

I have Sims 2 Double Deluxe Edition and it takes forever to load and it gets stuck and I have to shut down my computer and start it up again to get Sims 2 unstuck. Its annoying because it doesn't save any of the stuff I've done. I have a Dell inspiron. Thanks!How do I get Sims 2 to run faster on my computer?
well i have sims 2 as well but at the Moment im having trouble playing it. but before when i played it it was slow. a thing that might help is to delete stuff from your computer. 2 other thing follow these it might help



start- type in the search bar defragment hard drive this move all the files and everything together so when the computer is trying to find something it does it quickly (more detail on the computer itself)



start- type in disk cleanup which will delete all files that is not needed on the computer.How do I get Sims 2 to run faster on my computer?
