How can you have Sims 3 sims living in two different houses?

I want my sims living in two different houses for a series I'm working on. I seen some Sims 2 %26amp; 3 series on youtube. They have their Sims living in different houses. How can I do that?

The only thing I can think of is having to move them. To do this in the sims three you go into edit town, click on the household you want to move. Here you can merge them with another household, spit the household up, or you can move them, or evict them. If you evict them then a message will come up. If you want to move them in a new house click move out, the one with out the house. The family will be moved into your clipboard, which is on the left of the screen. You select them and then choose the house you want to move them too, like when you first placed them.How can you have Sims 3 sims living in two different houses?
All u need to do is press the edit town button and click on the household u want to move. Thats all u need to do, and they will go to that house as long as they have the money for it. The money cheat is motherlode and that gives u 50 000 simloens :D GL
